Meet Able

Your personal recovery agent.

You shouldn't have to remember to keep a recovery journal. Able checks in, asks what matters right now, and listens to how you answer.

Able comes to you

Able checks in. You answer naturally.

Able sends a short email with the questions that matter that day. Reply right inside the email, the same way you already use email. If something in your answer needs clarification, Able follows up.

Morning check-in from Able <max@journal.helloable.ai> to Max Mitchell.

1. How did you sleep?
Not very well. About five and a half hours. I woke up twice because my knee was throbbing.
2. Where is the pain today?
Mostly my right leg. Worse than yesterday, especially when I first stand up.
3. Were you able to get ready on your own?
No. I needed help getting into the shower and putting on my shorts.
You've needed help getting into the shower several times this week. What is making it difficult today: standing, getting in and out, or something else?
Mostly getting in and out. Once I'm on the shower chair, I'm okay.

Able follows up because of what Max said, not because it was the next question on a list.

Life happens between check-ins

Something happened? Just tell Able.

Between check-ins, message Able on Telegram. A rough night, a missed outing, a medication change, a small win. Able adds it to the record while it is still fresh.

ExampleTelegram
  1. Max: I tried going to my daughter's soccer game. I had to leave after about twenty minutes because I couldn't stay standing. I felt awful making her leave early.
  2. Able: Was it the standing itself, or getting to and from the car?
  3. Max: The standing. If I'd had a chair, I think I could have stayed longer.
  4. Able: Got it. I added that to today's recovery journal.

Telegram is how Able takes updates between check-ins today.

The record builds itself

Small conversations become a record.

Able turns those check-ins and updates into a record you can actually use: a daily journal in your own voice, a weekly reflection that shows the arc of recovery, and an Attorney View you choose when to share.

Tuesday 10 March

Daily journal · in his voice

Today was a hard morning. I slept about four hours and woke up twice. My right knee was worse than yesterday, especially along the outside, and I still had to sleep upright because lying flat pulled on it.

I couldn't get ready on my own. Getting over the edge of the tub on one leg is still the hardest part, so my wife helped me into the shower. Once I was on the shower chair, I was okay.

One good thing: I made it into the kitchen on my own and got breakfast without help.

Recovery is hard enough. Remembering every detail shouldn't be another job.
